Drew Scott

Multiple award-winning music director, pianist and producer, Drew has worked across the globe based both Stateside in New York City and in South Africa over the past two decades. As music director, he won South Africa’s leading theatrical award for Best Musical Director for the South African production of INTO THE WOODS, with two further nominations for LOVING YOU. He can be heard on the PBS documentary Hal Prince: A Director’s Life, with experience working with leading artists from Broadway, the West End and with clients including Sony Music and the BBC. Theatrical highlights include the world tour of EVITA (Prince’s original production), JOSEPH … DREAMCOAT, CATS (Royal Caribbean) among many other productions Stateside and across southern Africa. As an educator, he has worked with pre-professional artists at Stagedoor Manor, Long Lake Camp for the Arts as well as numerous primary, high school and collegiate theatre programs in practical industry prep. As vocal coach and audition pianist working with Selladoor, Showtime Management, GWB, David Ian and PTP, his experience as an audition pianist in NY prepared him to help in casting world tours of WE WILL ROCK YOU, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, MATILDA, SCHOOL OF ROCK, EVITA and many more. As producer on the international premiere of POLKADOTS: THE COOL KIDS MUSICAL, he won that year’s Best Production for Young Audiences award with his theatrical company &CO. As Executive Producer, he has worked with Marc Shaiman, Anthony Rapp, Amra-Faye Wright, Suanne Braun, Amanda Tapping and stars of Stargate, among many more with his streaming production company, &SCENE.
