Our Children and Young Performers classes develop performance skills, talent and confidence in a fun, creative and safe environment. The classes are a wonderful addition to the main Academy. Conducted on Sundays throughout the term, the classes in singing, acting, dancing and musical theatre are for young performers aged 4 – 18.

Creative Arts

After the success of our “Winter Creative Arts Workshop,” We have decided to add a creative arts class to our full-time Sunday CYP timetable. This class will be an accumulation of arts n crafts, painting, puppetry, storytelling, and script writing. It will build on creativity, imagination, and arts n crafts skills, including painting, drawing, crafting, and sewing.

Drama classes are based on improvisation and general stagecraft. These lessons develop acting skills through devising scenes and creating characters. Some script work will be introduced. The student will be encouraged to explore text, develop characters, use the body as a form of expression and, most importantly for an actor, interact with other members of the group.

These classes aim to develop style, technique, muscle tone, strength and performance skills. Students will gain awareness, greater self-confidence, while improving overall wellbeing.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre tells a story through more than one discipline. This is a class where acting, singing and dance are brought together. The class is all about exploration, creativity and building the trust needed to work as part of a team to bring a piece of musical theatre to life.

We are so thankful that performing arts classes for kids have come to Sharjah! My three children go every weekend, and now they want to go every night after school too!
