Singing Tutor

Caitlin is professional performer with more than a decade of work with regional and local theatres, most notably in Cleveland, Ohio and here in the UAE. Reputable performances include Clara in ‘The Light in the Piazza,’ Fantine in ‘Les Miserables,’ Lady of the Lake in ‘Spamalot,’ Audrey II in ‘Little Shop of Horrors,’ Belle in ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ and Kate Monster in ‘Avenue Q.’

 

Whilst performing, Caitlin has worked as a freelance singing tutor specializing in musical theatre, rock, pop, as well as directing and music directing for local theatre and schools in the United States. She was also a featured soloist for the Akron Symphony Orchestra as well as Cleveland’s Red Satin Cabaret.

 

After moving to the UAE in 2017, she began her teaching career as a secondary drama teacher in Abu Dhabi with exploration of higher level theatre practitioners and drama skills and as an International Baccaluraeate examiner for Theatre. She also served as a director, music director, and conductor for many musical theatre productions and choirs spanning from early years to upper secondary for 7 years. Her greatest passion is that of storytelling through song and vocal expression.

 

Along with her accomplishments in singing, teaching, directing, and music directing, Caitlin is an experienced musician on piano and brass for concert and musical theatre performances.

 

Caitlin holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio as well as an Masters in Education from Moreland University in Washington D.C. with a focus in teaching multi-lingual learners.
