Clara El Hawa

Acting Tutor

Clara El Hawa is a Lebanese actress, director, acting coach, and yoga instructor. She holds a BA in Theater along with an MA in Acting Prepares from the Lebanese University of Fine Arts and a BA in acting from the Actors School of the National Theater of Tunisia, where she began working as a Tutor of Physical Preparation.

She has acted in a range of theater performances, and her latest works include ‘Nawal’ by Lina Abyad and ‘Martyr’ by Fadhel Jaibi. In addition to performing, she has explored her capacities in directing, assistant directing, stage managing, and writing.

Her most prominent works as a director and writer include ‘Latche,’ a play performed by minor prisoners at Roumieh prison, and ‘A letter to a father,’ a performance derived from an acting training she conducted with amateur actors.

El Hawa initiates theater and movement workshops for marginalized communities, such as prisoners and homeless individuals. Her focus on socially-informed theater and physical expression is supplemented by additional training in psychology and yoga.
