On Saturday, 16 January SPAA held its first virtual open day. Staff, current students and Executive Director, Professor Peter Barlow, enjoyed chatting with and answering questions from prospective students about this unique academy. During the event, Professor Barlow commented on how much diverse, creative talent and enthusiasm he had been met with in this region. ""SPAA is privileged to be able to help those committed to a life in professional performing arts,"" he explained, ""to be able tp realise their potential within an international community and in exceptional facilities. I am so proud of my faculty and staff who organised the open day. It was a great opportunity for everyone to talk about their passion for developing performing arts in the region whilst staying online and staying safe."" Professor Barlow was delighted to share the fact that applications for the 2021 academic year were still growing every day. He said, ""We are always excited to meet and chat with everyone and anyone who wants to become a professional performing or production artist."" Applications for September 2021 are open. Head to SPAA's Undergraduate page for more information about all the BA programmes on offer, and how to apply.
