SPAA's Latest Show: 'Into the Woods' Brings Fairy Tales to Life!

Last weekend, our Year 4 Musical Theatre students teamed up with students from Years 2, 3, and 4 in Production Arts for a cool project. Together, they created a play called 'Into the Woods,' taking the audience on a wild ride through a mash-up of fairy tales. Our Executive Director, Professor Peter Barlow, was the ship's captain!   The show was packed with surprises, laughs, and a touch of magic. Drew Scott from our Faculty made sure the music hit all the right notes as the director and conductor.   Keep an eye out this month for some behind-the-scenes footage and more details!   A big shout out to everyone who helped with this project – our extraordinary students and staff, as well as our external creative pals and the music team:   Barbara Evans - Associate Director and Choreographer Charlotte Maggs - Set and Costume Designer Mark Jones-Roberts - Lighting Designer and Programmer Supervisor Natalia Vaskinova – Violin and Concertmistress Andriy Khomyakevych – Viola Angharad Maxwell – Cello Sarah Killian – Double Bass Hiba Al Sharaa – Flute   Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim Book by James Lapine Orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick [embed]https://www.instagram.com/p/C0hH0oCNFx6/[/embed]
