Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) seeks an experienced and dynamic programme leader in Arabic music to establish, develop, and lead the Arabic music programme within the College of Music. Reporting to the Dean of the College of Music, the Programme Leader will oversee curriculum development, faculty recruitment, teaching, research, student performances, accreditation, and partnerships with key stakeholders in the UAE and beyond.

Programme Supervisor MFA Performance Design: Lighting

Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) is seeking a Programme Supervisor – MFA Performance Design (Lighting) to lead and teach Lighting Design at the postgraduate level, starting in August 2025. Reporting to the Programme Leader – Postgraduate Studies, this full-time role involves training, mentoring MFA students, supervising lighting design for productions, and contributing to curriculum development. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty across Production Arts, Acting, Musical Theatre, and Dance to deliver an industry-relevant learning experience. Essential qualifications include an MFA or PhD in Lighting Design (or equivalent professional experience), 8–10 years of industry experience, and strong leadership skills. Dance Tutor

Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) is seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Tutor to join its dynamic faculty team. This Part-time role is central to delivering high-quality dance education across SPAA’s Diploma, BA, MA programmes, as well as short courses and Saturday schools. As the only dedicated performing arts conservatoire in the MENA region, SPAA offers a unique platform for professionals to contribute to a vibrant and diverse learning community.


The ideal candidate will be professionally trained in a core dance discipline—such as Ballet or Jazz—with expertise in at least one additional genre, and will possess a strong foundation in choreography, technique, and performance-based training. This role is key to supporting learners in reaching their full potential, ensuring both rigorous training and safe practice in all dance activities at SPAA.

Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) is seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Manager to oversee and coordinate all technical operations for World Stage Design (WSD) 2025—an internationally renowned event celebrating excellence in design for performance. WSD 2025 brings together designers, artists, educators, and professionals from across the globe to share knowledge, explore innovation, and push the boundaries of performance design.


The Technical Manager will be at the heart of delivering a seamless and inspiring festival experience, ensuring the efficient delivery of technical services across a range of performances, exhibitions, workshops, and talks. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive knowledge of lighting, sound, staging, and AV technologies, as well as a strong grasp of health and safety regulations within live event settings.
