Young Performers -​ Acting


Overview

Drama classes are based on improvisation and general stagecraft. These lessons develop acting skills through devising scenes and creating characters. Some script work will be introduced. The student will be encouraged to explore text, develop characters, use the body as a form of expression and, most importantly for an actor, interact with other members of the group.

Group Acting

Discover your acting talent through improvisation, devising plays and building characters. This group class explores the art of acting, with script work and the use of the body as a form of expression, and most importantly for an actor, interacting with other members of the group.

Days: Sundays 

Class Duration: 45 minute sessions

Acting For Camera

Explore your talents for on-screen acting through green screen work using our state-of-the-art green screen studio. This exciting element allows discovery and process-oriented work. All students will be given opportunities that will be shared amongst their peers and families.

Days: Sundays

Times:  Scheduled slots: 1.30PM- 4PM

Class Duration: 30 minute sessions

Private LAMDA

We offer private tutorials in preparation for examinations from Entry level to Gold Medal in Acting and/or Speaking in Verse and Prose.

The aim of LAMDA is to:

  • improve standards in communication through the spoken word
  • foster an appreciation of literature, poems and drama
  • acknowledge levels of achievement
  • support the creative, intellectual and social development of the individual.

The examinations are designed to equip students, whatever their age or aspirations, with a range of skills that will serve them throughout life.

LAMDA examinations are optional, however, we encourage our students to enter and benchmark their progress against an internationally applied standard in order to receive accredited certification for their efforts. Students need to complete Term 1 and Term 2 in order to be eligible for exam registration. Examination fees are NOT included in Term class fees."


 

INFORMATION


Programme Fees

The Academy works on a 10/12-week term; classes are to be paid in advance for the full 10/12 weeks, as we do not offer a “pay-as-you” go option. We fully appreciate your commitment.

Once we have your registration, we will send an invoice for the total amount due.

Fees can be paid online, via BACS or by card at the Academy. All our bank information will be attached to the invoice. 

New students will have a 125 AED registration/administration fee applied to their invoices.

    AED 700 / AED 840 per term (based on 10 /12 weeks)
  • Private LAMDA – Acting
    AED 1375 / AED 1650 per term (based on 10 /12 weeks)
