Programme Supervisor - Performance Design - Set & Costume MFA

Michelle Bohn is an experienced scenographer and costume designer with over 20 years of international design experience across stage and screen. She holds an M.F.A. in Costume Design & Technology from the University of Missouri - Kansas City and a B.F.A. in Design for the Theatre from Concordia University in Montréal, Québec.

Michelle’s areas of expertise include scenography, costume design, set design, fashion history, and architectural history. Her extensive career has spanned multiple countries, with her work showcased in the United States, Canada, and England. Michelle spent eight seasons at the Stratford Festival, the largest classical repertory theatre in North America, where she designed costumes for notable productions such as Cymbeline, Les Belles-Soeurs, King Lear, and Hamlet. She also designed both the set and costumes for All’s Well That Ends Well and I Am William at the Stratford Festival.

In addition to her work in Canada, Michelle has contributed to Off-Broadway productions, including the set and costume designs for A Four-Letter Word at the Classic Stage Company, which also toured the UK. Her design credits extend to various regional theatres across the USA and Canada, and she has worked extensively in television, designing costumes for the CBC Gem series Save Me and For the Record.

Michelle’s body of work reflects her broad range of talents in both set and costume design, and her commitment to bringing visually compelling, historically informed, and narratively rich designs to life across diverse performance mediums.
