Overview
As the Technical Manager for World Stage Design (WSD) 2025 you will play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of one of the most prominent international events in the realm of stage design and scenography.
Your will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of WSD2025exhibitions, performances, workshops and talks, ensuring seamless coordination of audio visual, staging, lighting and sound.
- Collaborate with the WSD team, exhibitors, performers, vendors and production teams to manage all technical requirements.
- Coordinate technical requirements across multiple venues
- Conduct site inspections
- Create and manage risk assessments
- Manage budgets for technical elements
- Develop technical plans for all venues and activities
- Oversee the set up and dismantling of equipment
- Manage production arts students, freelancers and SPAA technicians schedules
- Source and liaise with equipment vendors
- Manage inventory of technical equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Implement safety procedures and ensure they are carried out for all technical activities
- Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
- Attend a post WSD evaluation meeting
Able to demonstrate….
- Proven experience in technical management in events, arts festivals and/or live events.
- Strong knowledge of lighting, sound, staging and audio-visual.
- Good knowledge of health & safety standards related to technical production.
- Excellent organisational and trouble shooting skills
- Able to lead and communicate well with production teams
- Creative problem- solving abilities
The WSD2025 Technical Manager will report to the WSD2025 Project Leader
