Ever dreamed of being on the stage or screen? Or seen yourself as the next world events Stage Manager, blockbuster Costume Designer, or Choreographer of your own dance studio?
SPAA, the inspiration and vision of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, provides a facility for students to practice and take part in developing professional performing arts around the Middle East.
University-bound students can apply for full-time, undergraduate degrees in Acting, Production Arts and Musical Theatre, with fully funded tuition scholarships available for eligible candidates.
In addition, little performers aren’t overlooked with weekend classes in dance, drama and musical theatre for kids between four and 18, and SPAA is the only accredited institute in the UAE that offers BTEC International Level 2 Certificate in Performing Arts for teens between 14 and 16.
The facilities at the academy are world-class and include a 432-seat theatre, 126-seat studio theatre, dedicated dance, acting and sound recording studios, rehearsal studio, green screen TV studio, library, breakout spaces, onsite accommodation for full-time students and more.
SPAA is an independent, non-profit, coeducational institution that promotes excellence in teaching and learning in a conservatoire, while at the same time providing a comprehensive education for the professional performing artist and for production and technical specialists to help them secure a lasting and prosperous career in a competitive industry.
