‘Nimrod’ play opens competitions of 4th SGTF.

On the side-lines of the inauguration of the 4th edition of the Sharjah Gulf Theater Festival (SGTF), Fawaghi Al Fardan, a member of the Media Committee of the Festival revealed that the festival launched on Monday with captivating performances of the iconic ‘Nimrod’, a thought-provoking play written by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, during which several artists have lauded this cultural event.
Commenting on the event, Al Fardan confirmed that this festival is a theatrical event that takes place every two years in the Emirate of Sharjah and is organised by the Department of Culture.
Al Fardan revealed in an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24” that the festival also includes seminars, theatrical artistic workshops, with an intellectual forum and cultural sessions.
The Omani artist, Fakhriya Khamis, has praised the significant role of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, lauding his major role in bringing together several playwrights to various gorgeous and dazzling performances in Sharjah.
Kuwaiti artist Khaled Amin explained that creativity starts from the stage, reflecting numerous artistic, academic and qualitative works.
