Faculty from Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) recently joined fellow musicians from across the UAE for a special evening of music hosted by Dr. Feryal Qudourah at American University of Sharjah (AUS). The concert brought together faculty from AUS, SPAA, Colors of Sound Music School (Abu Dhabi), and the British School Al Khubairat (Abu Dhabi), fostering artistic collaboration and strengthening connections within the local music community.

The diverse repertoire featured selections from Western Classical, Musical Theater, Irish Folk, Contemporary, and Jazz styles. SPAA’s Drs. Kathleen Bell and Anne Wick performed vocal pieces, while Dr. Guilherme Godoi provided accompaniment for several performances by both SPAA and AUS faculty. The evening included musical theatre selections from The Boys from Syracuse, Jekyll & Hyde, and The Last 5 Years, among others.

This collaboration provided a valuable opportunity for faculty to share their expertise, engage with fellow musicians, and bring live music to the wider University City community. The concert was a testament to the power of artistic exchange in enriching cultural and academic life.

SPAA is proud to participate in initiatives that promote creative dialogue and looks forward to future collaborations with AUS and other institutions across the region.
