Aiham Hassan

Aiham is an Emirati actor, director and producer based in the UAE. After receiving his BA in Creative Media from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia, Aiham joined the One Year Filmmaking Programme at the New York Film Academy in Abu Dhabi, getting the perfect balance of theoretical and practical training.

Apart from acting in Hollywood films such as 6 Underground, Star Trek Beyond and Fast 7, Aiham has worked in over 30 films in the UAE, helping develop the local film industry. He co-produced and assistant-directed the Emirati feature film “Musk”. His TV work can be found on projects such as Mustaqbal Tech, Iftah Ya Simsim (Arabic Sesame Street), and FUNN for Majid TV.

After assuming the role of directing mentor across various workshops in the UAE, including NYUAD and Imagination’s Young AFS workshop, Aiham is eager to pass his knowledge of acting and filmmaking to future performers at SPAA.
