Samantha comes to the Academy with much experience in professional theatre and teaching. Her former role was Principal of Stagecoach Theatre Arts, performing arts classes for children and Short Courses Manager at the Guildford School of Acting.
Samantha has a first-class BA in Musical Theatre and has gained all her major examinations with the ISTD in modern, tap and ballet. After graduating she performed in numerous shows including Pirates of Penzance (Kilworth theatre), Dick Whittington (Riverfront theatre), Thursford Christmas Spectacular (Norwich), The Merry Widow (Holland Park), Roy Hudd Variety Show (Greenwich theatre) and The Remembrance Festival (Royal Albert Hall).
Samantha slowly moved from performing and began developing her practice in choreography and teaching. Samantha has worked at The Sylvia Young Theatre School, Hurtwood House (developed the A-level Dance course) and The Guildford School of Acting. Samantha worked as the Short Course Manager at GSA for more than ten years where she managed a large team who delivered performing arts vocational training to students aged 4 to 25. During her time here Samantha also directed the GSA Singers, a touring cabaret group whose performances included: The Olivier Awards, Josh Groban in concert, numerous Royal Variety shows at London’s Drury lane theatre Royal and London’s Haymarket.
