Dr Bilhar Lehal has more than 23 years of experience within teaching and learning. His academic qualifications include a BEd Hons with Qualified Teacher Status (Nottingham Trent), a Master of Arts in Education (Middlesex University) and a Doctorate of Education EdD (Hertfordshire University). He also holds membership of the Advance Higher Education Academy as a Senior Fellow.
Bilhar has worked as an Initial Teacher Trainer within primary, secondary, tertiary and higher education and has been an education inspector for various educational settings. He has also worked on validation of new courses and quality assurance.
Bilhar has been an external examiner for a various Universities in the UK, and has worked as a Senior Lecturer Initial Teacher Training & Teaching and Learning at Bath Spa University and at the University of South Wales. At both universities Bilhar was responsible for Quality Assurance for degree award courses.
He has also chaired various committees to enhance the provision for students. Prior to his university career, Bilhar was an Educational Advisor where he advised national & local authorities on policies and education improvement.
