Genette Harrison

Lead Tutor - Fundamentals Year

Genette is a keen performer and has participated in many productions in the UAE including theatre, emceeing, commercial, and film. She has won two awards for Best Actress in Dubai in the last two years, for her role as Evelyn in The Shape of Things and her role in a short film called Elpida’s World. Other notable local roles include Scarecrow from Woman and Scarecrow, Helena from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the female characters in Two.

Genette studied her BA Acting at Blackpool School of Arts and has experience in teaching acting to degree level, with Comedy, Modern Performance Techniques, Avant-Garde, and Commercial Theatre performance as her areas of specialism. During her time as a lecturer in Blackpool, Genette directed a number of performances, including Consensual, Blue Stockings, and Angels in America.

Genette previously worked for the Ministry of Education (MOE) as a Theatre Curriculum Specialist, where she designed and implemented a bespoke 4-year theatre/drama curriculum for public schools across the UAE.
