Adam Wilson FRSA

Acting & Musical Theatre Tutor

Adam is a director, actor, and acting practitioner who has been training students internationally for many years. He is a graduate of The Guildford School of Acting and has additional screen acting training from The Actors Studio, Pinewood. Adam has worked for ITV, Netflix, Sky, Disney, Tricycle, Marv Studios, and The National Lottery UK, as well as various theatrical shows and workshops in London.

Before joining SPAA, Adam was working with ArtsEd students as an Assistant Director, as well as a co-teacher on the Diploma Programme at The Royal Central School Of Speech and Drama, where he is currently completing his MFA in Actor Training and Coaching.

Adam’s approach to actor training engages with practices and practitioners including Ita O’Brien, Marie Overly, Anne Bogart and Tina Landau (The Viewpoints), Meisner, Stanislavski, Chekhov, Vakhtangov, Meyerhold, Grotowski, Clown & Screen Acting. His varied career in the creative arts industry, along with his experience and research in specific acting practices, has culminated in a distinct skillset that affords a richness, depth, and array of ways into the work through his mixed-method approach to acting.

Adam’s specialist interests are Musical Theatre and Screen Acting, and his current research engages with the intersection and development of training methods for the Musical Film phenomenon.
