A celebration of Musical Theatre

A celebration of Musical Theatre last week, with all three of our Musical Theatre Student Cohorts showcasing their work from this past term.

The Year 1 cohort premiered their own original musical review, ‘Hooray for Hollywood: A Cinematic Celebration of Movie Musicals’. A 60-minute show introducing the audience to the wonderful world of Musical Theatre, performed by 33 of our first-years, some taking to the stage for their first time ever!

The Year 2 cohort completed their Acting through Song Course, an emotional telling of their chosen stories through music and performance, thought-provoking with depth and emotion to capture the audience.

The Year 3 cohort showcased their most recent Swing Project, introducing the role of ‘Swing’ in production through music from ‘MAMMA MIA!’ Through ‘Waterloo’ and ‘Mamma Mia’ performances, 13 of our third-years took the role of ‘Swings’ responding and performing in real-time for our Academy audience to marvel.
